Father’s Day Gratitude or Is It?

Posted on: June 19, 2011

As I skimmed across facebook and twitter today I realized a consistent pattern of one thing, thank yous to everyone’s fathers. Rather than cards or phone calls in most cases, children were wishing their fathers and grandfathers to have a happy day via social media. We are steering away from the traditions that we have always had and doing things in a faster and easier way. Have we lost personal touch with the ones we love? Is this new faster way of communicating just as beneficial to those involved? As it has become evident that we are only leaning closer to these forms of communication, it seems you better catch up or you will be left far behind. Or really sad because you got a comment rather than a card.
