Brand Campaigns on Facebook Help Growth

Posted on: July 24, 2011

While I was reading through Social Media Today, an interesting article caught my eye. The information that they came upon was not surprising for today’s increase in social media usage, but it was indeed a rather large percentage. It was about brand campaigns and how Facebook helped them increase by 104 percent. They did this study through a Global Facebook Advertising Report.

According to the article, these are the statistics that they found:

Facebook brand campaign general statistics

  • Brand campaigns on Facebook grew by 104% between Q1 2011 and Q2 2011.
  • There was a 435% improvement in campaign conversion rates when targeting existing fans.

Sector breakdown

  • The Retail got the most Click Through Rates (CTR) and grew to 36% of total impressions in Q2 2011. The growth of the retail sector was fuelled by positive feedback from consumers as expressed by the highest CTR among all sectors.
  • The second fastest growing sector was Finance, driven by credit card campaigns.
  • The numbers of impressions in the Jobs & Education sector also grew rapidly – however this growth was seen mostly in the USA.

As it can be seen this growth is immense. So good advice for companies and businesses would be to get involved in social media, and as soon as possible. With statistics like these, individuals shouldn’t need much more of a push to get started on Facebook to promote their brand.

With how rapidly the use of social media like Facebook is spreading, businesses and companies have to keep up, or they will be left far behind. So whether someone is starting a company or trying to promote an existing brand, they need to start by creating a Facebook today.
